SOMMARØY ARCTIC HOTEL TROMSØ
Sommarøy Arctic Hotel Tromsø opened in April 2001 under the name Sommarøy Kurs og Feriesenter. This charming resort is build in traditional North Norwegian coastal style and comprises a main building and several seaside cabins and fishermen’s cottages.
Sommarøy is a natural gem located beside the open sea on the outer coast just an hour’s drive west of Tromsø. Welcome to a vibrant and traditional coastal community where hunting, fishing and trapping have been the basis of existence since time immemorial.
The main building houses 28 hotel rooms, reception, restaurant, bar and four meeting rooms. In addition to the seaside cabins and fishermen’s cottages, you will discover our very popular seaside bathhouse in the cove in front of the hotel featuring with a wood-fired sauna and a wooden hot tub. We also have an outdoor Jacuzzi that is frequently used. The resort has an idyllic location on the waterfront near the marina and just a 10 minute stroll from the shop, post office and bank.
We also offer guests a range of activities, including exciting nature-based adventures and boat trips. Our goal is that regardless of the season you visit, you will always find exciting activities on the outer coast. See EVENTS.
