From the hotel it is a five minute drive to the start point for Ørnfløya hike. We recommend to follow the path at the map, to preserve vulnerable arctic nature.
Ørnfløya is suitable for children aged three and up. Here you start straight on the mountain and there is no long and boring approach. When you get close to the top there is a nice little pond, but the real bonus comes on the top cairn. From here there are lovely views in all directions. Sommarøy, Senja, Håja, Edøy, Hekkingen. If you go for a night walk you will see the midnight sun dancing along the horizon. A great walk that an adult goes in 20 – 30 minutes. Bring a lunch – you can stay at the top forever to enjoy the view.
