The hotel

Restaurant
Our a la carte restaurant is open for food orders at 6 pm – 9 pm, food and drink can be enjoyed until midnight in our pleasant restaurant.
Cafe / Lobby
Our lobby bar / cafe, which serves a good selection of hot and cold dishes, is open at 12 noon – 9 pm.
Bar
Weekdays open until 1:30 am and weekends until 3 am
Charging electric car
We have two chargers with two outlets each, with a total of four connection points. Each charger deliver 22 kw. If two cars charge at the same time each car gets 11 kw. For charging, please register here https://portal.charge365.no/registrer-bruker or download the app Charge 365 There are also superchargers for electric cars, buss and trucks at 180 kW at Havfrua kro by Hillesøy bridge.

Our pleasant good-weather bar Lagunen opens when the sun shines.
Sauna with sea bath
The sauna inside our hotel is open 7 am – 11 pm, free use for all our staying guests. From the Sauna there are stairs to a lovely sea bath. From two degrees celcius in sea at winter, to at least seven or eight degrees in summer, but more than ten times that in our sauna with a sea view.
Bath house
Available for private hire. The bath house contains women’s and men’s wardrobes, a hot tub for up to eight people and a sauna. From here it is also five meters to an icy sea bath, if the sea is not frozen. Price NOK 1,000 for two hours of private hire, must be booked in advance at reception or even beter before you arrive.
Jacuzzi
Jacuzzi is available for privat rent. Price NOK 1,000 for two hours of hire, must be booked in advance at reception. In order for all our guests to have the best possible experience, we rent our jacuzzi only once per day.
Gym
Our small gym is open around the clock, free use for all our staying guests. Here there is a treadmill, two spinning bikes and simple strength training equipment.
Maps and distances
Wondering how far it is from Sommarøy to Tromsø, Gryllefjord, Segla or Mefjord brygge? We recommend Google maps, here you will get all the answers. See also Visit Senja.

Grocery store
Matkroken Sommarøy is 10 minutes walk from the hotel.
Monday to Friday 10 am – 6 pm
Saturday 10 am – 5 pm
Havfrua kro
All days at 12 noon – 6 pm, food service closes 30 minutes before. Havfrua kro is located by Hillesøybroen 8 min. walk from the hotel and serves typical fast food and soft ice cream.
Ferry Brensholmen - Senja
Our hotel is 8 km from the ferry terminal on Brensholmen. See ferry routes.
In the summer season there is a lot of traffic on this ferry service and we recommend arriving as early as possible, preferably two hours before departure.
Payment with autopass, free for people without a car and cyclists.
Hillesøy husflidlag
Open Saturdays at 11 am – 2 pm. Here you will find a rich selection of local handicrafts . Also open on request for groups.
Camping
Sommarøy Camping and Marina have great pitches for motorhomes, caravans and tents right by the Hillesøy bridge. There is a service center on site. Not possible to pre-order.
