Chef in Northern Norway’s Arctic Caribbean? We are hiring chefs with experience from a hotel, canteen or restaurant for permanent employment at Sommarøy. The village of Sommarøy has 350 residents and is one hour from the Arctic Capital Tromsø.
You have to:
– Be over 20 years old
– Work well under pressure
– Be flexible
– Be service minded
– Be smiling and gentle
English is required – Scandinavian language is a plus.

If you visit Sommarøy Arctic Hotel Tromsø on a summer day, you will be forgiven for believing that you are somewhere in the Caribbean. The coral beaches and the turquoise sea seem to belong in a much warmer climate, and only when you jump into the sea do you realize that you are actually in the Arctic. Sommarøy is the end of the road in Tromsø municipality – the next island is Greenland! We have a total of 155 rooms, divided into 74 suites, superior and standard rooms, as well as 81 rooms in a total of 23 sea houses and fisherman’s cabins. In the summer we arrange weddings every weekend and there is a hectic but good atmosphere throughout the fishing village. With us, our guests lower their shoulders and feel the Northern Norwegian hospitality.
We import our own wine from Massigmago, Italy – something our guests really appreciate.
Amazing Norway area with beaches, fjord entries, nice water side apartments with an incredible view. Nice place to experience the northern lights from the balcony.
